Facebook Doesn't Have This Feature Yet and It's Annoying

Ugh, Facebook does not yet have a feature to add or remove a post from an album. So posts that are in an album will remain in the album, we cannot remove them, the same goes for posts outside the album. This is so annoying for me. The most we can do is move posts that contain photos from one album to another, that is if there is only one photo, if there are more, we can't. So there will be a lot of misclassification if it's like this. I have misclassified many of my posts, it sucks. I have tried several times to move some posts from some albums to another but these posts contain more than one photo. I tried deleting the other photos, leaving only one so it could be moved, when I tried the post disappeared but the photo was moved. I don't like it. Because the post disappeared, the reactions and comments are lost, they will not be moved to the photo. I don't like it when reactions and comments disappear.

Dreamwidth

Dreamwidth adalah layanan jurnal online berdasarkan basis kode LiveJournal. Ini adalah cabang kode dari layanan asli, yang dibuat oleh mantan staf LiveJournal Denise Paolucci dan Mark Smith, lahir dari keinginan untuk komunitas baru berdasarkan akses terbuka, transparansi, kebebasan, dan rasa hormat.

Dreamwidth diumumkan pada 11 Juni 2008, masuk ke beta terbuka pada 30 April 2009, dan diam-diam dikeluarkan dari beta pada 30 April 2011.

Sebagian besar, fiturnya mirip dengan LiveJournal: pengguna memiliki jurnal, di mana mereka dapat memposting entri, yang masing-masing memiliki halaman webnya sendiri, dan di mana pengguna lain dapat berkomentar. Akun

Awalnya, akun Dreamwidth hanya dapat dibuat dengan kode undangan. Pada Desember 2011, kode undangan dimatikan, awalnya sebagai tindakan sementara eksperimental. Karena tidak ada peningkatan yang signifikan dalam akun spam dan server disesuaikan untuk menangani beban, kode undangan tidak diaktifkan kembali pada awal tahun baru seperti yang direncanakan dan pengguna baru masih dapat membuat akun tanpa penggunaan kode undangan. 

Dreamwidth mempunyai tingkatan akun:

  • Akun Gratis dapat didaftarkan secara gratis. Akun gratis dapat mengakses fitur situs dasar, tetapi tidak menerima akses ke semua fitur situs yang diperluas.
  • Akun Berbayar tersedia dengan biaya berdasarkan jangka waktu dan menerima akses ke semua fitur situs yang diperluas.
  • Akun Berbayar Premium tersedia dengan biaya berdasarkan jangka waktu dan menerima akses ke semua fitur situs yang diperluas, dengan batas yang lebih tinggi (untuk fitur yang memiliki batas) daripada yang diberikan oleh akun berbayar.
  • Akun Seed dicadangkan untuk mereka yang telah berkontribusi secara signifikan pada proyek Dreamwidth Studios. Mereka menerima semua fitur yang tersedia untuk akun berbayar premium, pada batas tersebut, selama Dreamwidth Studios terus beroperasi, tanpa perlu pembayaran di masa mendatang.

Hubungan pengguna

Menanggapi kritik terhadap sistem pertemanan LiveJournal, Dreamwidth membagi hubungan pengguna menjadi dua bagian: langganan dan kontrol akses. Pengguna dapat berlangganan jurnal pengguna lain atau memberikan akses bagi pengguna lain untuk membaca entri terkunci sebagai tindakan terpisah. Terminologi Dreamwidth mencerminkan pemisahan ini: misalnya, "halaman teman" telah diubah namanya menjadi "halaman membaca", dan "grup teman khusus" telah dipecah menjadi "filter akses" dan "filter membaca".

Interoperabilitas

Dreamwidth menyediakan interoperabilitas yang lebih besar dengan situs berbasis LiveJournal lainnya, termasuk kemampuan untuk mengimpor jurnal dari situs lain, crosspost ke beberapa situs, dan fungsionalitas yang lebih besar bagi pengguna yang masuk melalui OpenID.

Pencarian

Selain fasilitas pencarian yang dibawa dari LiveJournal, pengguna akun berbayar dapat mencari jurnal mereka. Ini diperkenalkan pada 24 Juli 2009.

Periklanan

LiveJournal awalnya bebas dari iklan, tetapi secara bertahap memasukkannya, hingga pada tahun 2017 iklan ditampilkan kepada semua pembaca tidak berbayar di semua halaman. Dreamwidth tetap bebas dari iklan.

Pengembangan

Dreamwidth didasarkan pada perangkat lunak server gratis dan sumber terbuka yang dirancang untuk menjalankan LiveJournal. Hal ini ditulis terutama dalam bahasa Perl. Sebagian besar kode Dreamwidth tersedia di bawah GNU GPL (GNU General Public License) untuk digunakan situs lain.

Tidak seperti banyak situs jejaring sosial lain yang menggunakan basis kode LiveJournal, seperti InsaneJournal dan DeadJournal, Dreamwidth adalah cabang kode, menghapus fitur yang tidak diinginkan (seperti iklan) dan menambahkan yang baru seperti dijelaskan di atas. Pendiri situs menolak model iklan karena itu mengganggu. Sebagai gantinya, mereka menerapkan sistem pembayaran, di mana pengguna dapat membeli fitur tambahan atau premium.

Presentasi OSCON 2009 melihat Dreamwidth diidentifikasi sebagai sangat tidak biasa di antara proyek-proyek sumber terbuka, untuk jumlah perempuan di tim pengembangannya. Sekitar 75% pengembangnya adalah perempuan, dibandingkan dengan sekitar 1,5% yang ada di lapangan secara keseluruhan. Paolucci dan Smith juga berbicara di linux.conf.au 2010 tentang model pengembangan Dreamwidth dan telah diundang untuk berbicara di Web 2.0 Expo dan OSCON tentang teknik mereka. 

Dreamwidth diterima sebagai organisasi mentoring GSoC (Google Summer of Code) untuk musim panas 2010. Mereka diberikan tujuh siswa, yang mengerjakan berbagai proyek.

Pengaruh

Mengikuti reaksi positif terhadap pernyataan keragaman Dreamwidth dan model inklusivitas, berbagai proyek lain telah mengikuti, termasuk daftar keragaman Python dan Dreamfish.

Maybe I didn't provide enough context in my previous post where I said that I hate people who lock their profiles or accounts on Facebook. I have no problem with people locking their profiles but hopefully it's for a good reason not for a bad reason. I understand that it's part of their privacy but it's risky. That raises some questions about security. If you want to send them friend requests, that should be questioned by them, and if they want to send you friend requests, that should be questioned by you. In some social networking services (SNS) with a friending system like Facebook, we can't just befriend someone, especially if they are strangers (without at least one mutual friend). We have to know who they are based on their public information before we accept their request. I have received friend requests from people like that a few times in the past and because they were fake accounts I unfriended them. Not to be racist, some of them were perverted ahh Indian

My Tumblr Account Was Terminated Without Any Reason

Argh, I'm so very annoyed, my Tumblr account was terminated without any fucking reason. What did I do? I did not do anything wrong, I have read all of Tumblr's terms and conditions and privacy policy. Now my Tumblr blog of that account, https://sofiaflorina2021.tumblr.com , is virtually gone. I have submitted a support ticket to Tumblr, I also have received the email from them that they have received my support ticket. I hope Tumblr will restore my account. I'm waiting until 21 October, 2024 or next week. That account with its only blog is very important for me. If there is no response and my account is still not back then I will send another support ticket. Really, I don't understand why this happened. Losing that account would decrease my existence and my charm, especially on the internet. Web crawler will be confused later.
